Issue/Introduction

This KB describes compatibility of software versions for VCO, VCG, and VCE.

Please check the compatibility of software versions between VCE and VCO,VCG before upgrading VCE.

Please check the "Compatibility" section in the respective Release Notes.
The following screenshot is the compatibility diagram in 5.2.3 Release Notes.

For example, take a look at the red framed area. This means that if the software version for Hub Edge and Branch/Spoke Edge is 5.0.1, VCO is compatible only with 5.2.3, and VCG is compatible only with 5.0.1 and 5.2.3.

Please check the versions for VCO and VCG in the release note before upgrading VCE(Hub Edge and Branch/Spoke Edge) to ensure compatibility. If you cannot check the version for VCO or VCG, please contact Technical Support via SR.

The Release Notes also have a section showing any necessary upgrade paths, as in from what software can you upgrade to the software release which the release notes are for.
