Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

Prior releases of CA Spool provided customers with sample JCL in two different locations depending on the release you were running:

CAI.CAIJCL(IQB6JES) for r11.6 and CBQ4JCL(BQ4JJES) for r11.7.

This is a description that is included as part of the member, that explain what this sample JCL provides:

ENABLE THE CA SPOOL JES2 INTERFACE FOR USE WITH JES
EXIT7 TO ALLOW THE USERID TO BE PASSED WITH SYSOUT FILES FROM
JESTOESF USING THE EXTERNAL WRITER INTERFACE (XFER) WHICH
USES THE PSO INTERFACE.

Answer:

As documented in our Release Notes, starting with Version 12, the PSO (Process Sysout) interface has been retired. As a result there is no need to run BQ4JJES and it has been removed from CBQ4JCL. The intention to retire the PSO interface was announced on RI21689 in 2010. The SAPI interface replaces PSO for post JES Spool Sysout transfers, if required.
