Issue/Introduction
An SD-WAN Edge has an event for "Management service failed" with message "Service mgd failed with error -6, restarting".
Environment
This issue has been seen on KVM edges, but may occur with other models.
Resolution
If you see this event, please open a support request and generate a diagnostic bundle for the edge. The support team will need to review the core dump.
Additional Information
Management service only impacts management connectivity with the edge, no dataplane impact would be expected as a result of the management service restarting.
