Issue/Introduction

Question:

What is the impact of not to have the SiteMinder module at the first position in the module list in Apache?

Answer:

When you are configuring an Apache webagent with the webagent configuration wizard, the LoadModule of the webagent library will always be at the first place in the list of the modules. The reason behind that is because we want to ensure that the Webagent is the first component to intercept the webserver request to manage the authentication. If it is not the case there could be a potential issue where another module will intercept the request before the webagent and do some processing that would interfere with the webagent work and that would create problems.

We will not stop providing you Support if your Webagent module is not at the first position in the list but this is the prefered method and this is the way that the configuration wiizard is setting up the Webagent for Apache.
