This article addresses some of the questions that may arise when considering SOI 4.3 installation.
1. The upgrade scenario is not supported for SOI 4.3 - you need to install the SOI fresh.
2. Regarding the IFW connectors - so far, we have not released any 4.3 IFW connectors, but once they are release, you will need to reinstall them as well, as upgrades will not be supported.
3. EEM:
It seems SOI 4.3 needs CA EEM 12.6.7 (Windows) or 12.6.4.
As we are running EEM on Linux we have the current version 12.6.6 installed. Will it be supported?
Yes, It will be supported with EEM 12.6.6
4. JRE 11.0.0:
Is it only needed on the SOI server-side or also on the client side?
In the “Configure JNLP” documentation it is mentioned that JRE 11 is set as default. But there is no required minimum defined.
(https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/service-operations-insight/4-3/administrating/general-administration/configure-jnlp.html)
SOI Console (to launch console using jnlp) JRE 11.0.0 is needed.
Server-side JRE is not needed.
