Products

VMware NSX

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading NSX prepared transport nodes, vTEP tunnels will report as down and do not recover

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.x

Cause

An issue within the ENS Intel driver i40_ens can cause ARP packets to loop back the packet into the host instead of forwarding out the uplinks thus preventing ARP resolution.
This can occur when using a driver version below 1.4.1.0

Resolution

This is resolved with Intel driver i40en_ens version 1.4.1.0 or higher, driver download is available via Broadcom Support Portal
