Access rights error when trying to access a sub-subobject

Issue/Introduction

A user is receiving an access rights error when trying to access a sub-sub object 

API-1007: You are not authorized to process request.  Contact your system administrator for necessary security rights

User has all of the subobject access rights

Steps to Reproduce: 

In Classic View-

1. Create a subobject using Investment as the master object - named Sub1
2. Create a sub-subobject using Sub1 as the master object - named Sub2
3. Create a resource with limited access (Access rights used are attached) but all access rights to the sub and sub-subobject

In MUX - 

1. Create a new Project blueprint
2. Add the Subobject under modules
3. Click the subobject module
4. Enable all and click on Edit module details
5. Click on Modules
6. Add the Sub2 module
7. Click Publish
8. Go to project grid view
9. Create a new project with the new blueprint
10. Open the project
11. Add the new resource you created to the Staff tab
12. Click on the Sub1 tab
13. Create a new instance
14. Click on the new instance
15. Click on Sub2 tab
16. Add two instances 
17. Logout and log back in with the new resource
18. Go back to the project
19. Click on Sub1 tab
20. Open the instance by clicking the link
21. Click on Sub2 tab

Expected results- You will be able to see the grid view

Actual results - You receive "API-1007: You are not authorized to process request.  Contact your system administrator for necessary security rights"

Additional Information

If the subobjects are created under the Project object, it works correctly.
