Configuring NO_PROXY in 8.0 UI returns an syntax error when using Wildcards or subnets

Issue/Introduction

• When trying to configure IP address / FQDN in the NO_PROXY text box in the VAMI you will see an error stating " Enter a valid list of comma separated FQDN or IP address" 
• Trying to add a new host exclusion to the proxy settings on our vCenter, Getting an error message "Enter a valid list of comma separated FQDN or IP address."

Environment

vCenter 8.x

Cause

Wildcard and subnet options are not currently supported for this text field 

 

Resolution

Please use the kb bellow to configure these values using SSH
