Issue/Introduction

Question

Is there a way to bring a deployment to a full stop automatically upon encountering an action failure, instead of pausing?

Answer

On occasion it may be too inefficient or inconvenient for a deployment to pause on failure and rely upon user intervention to come to a fulls stop.  In such a scenario, two methods may be employed to ensure the deployment automatically stops itself instead of pausing:

(1) Use the "ROC - Fail Deployment Step" action, documented here: https://docops.ca.com/ca-release-automation/5-5-2/en/integrations/standard-action-packs/ra-roc-deployment-steps#RAROCDeploymentSteps-ROC-FailDeploymentStep.

(2) Via a SOAP call. The API is documented here: https://docops.ca.com/ca-release-automation/5-5-2/en/reference/soap-api-reference.
