Issue/Introduction

The selected license does not support some of the feature that are currently in use by the licensed assets - vSphere DRS

 

DRS is turned off at the cluster level




Environment

vCenter Server 7.0.x
vCenter Server 8.0.x

Cause

vSphere 8 Essentials Plus is not licensed for vSphere DRS features https://www.vmware.com/docs/vmw-datasheet-vsphere-product-line-comparison

A Scheduled Task is running, utilizing a DRS function

Resolution


  • Remove the scheduled task utilizing the un-licensed feature

  • Disable DRS on the Cluster

  • Assign the license to the required assets
