Container fails to load List tab in Spectrum WebApp

Issue/Introduction

Container fails to load or complete the display of the List tab in the DX NetOps Spectrum OneClick WebApp. The same task works fine in the OneClick java thick client.

The List tab never loads while other tabs for the Container load properly.

We see this with only 'Unknown' listed in the Contents pane Condition column.

We see this error in the <SPECROOT>/tomcat/logs/catalina.out log file when attempting to access the Container.

Cause

Custom columns added to the List tab.

Resolution

Reset the column list to include ONLY the following columns that would appear in the Container List tab by default.

• Condition
• Name
• Network Address
• Secure Domain
• Manufacturer
• Model Class
• MAC Address
• Type
• Landscape

Additional Information

In this instance one of the following non-default columns added to the List tab were at fault.

• Last Successful Poll
• Creation Time
• SNMP Community (custom column)
• Serial Number
• Device Location
• Device Criticality
