Issue/Introduction

The Vertica upgrade failed with the following error in the install log:

Unable to SSH as userxxx to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: UNEXPECTED EOF: Could not login with ssh. ssh output: '/etc/ssh/ssh_config line 4: Unsupported option "rhostsrsaauthentication"

Cause

rhostsrsaauthentication parameter set in the /etc/ssh/ssh_config file.

Resolution

Edit the /etc/ssh/ssh_config file and comment out the rhostsrsaauthentication parameter.


Rerun the upgrade.

Additional Information

If needed, after the upgrade, uncomment the rhostsrsaauthentication parameter in the /etc/ssh/ssh_config file.
