What is the road map for CentOS 7 EOL

Issue/Introduction

Some vulnerabilty scanners report the Messaging Gateway operating system as CentOS 7 which is end of life.

Environment

Version: 10.8, 10.9.0

Cause

Messaging Gateway 10.9.0 and earlier uses a custom linux operating system originally based on CentOS 7. 

Resolution

Concerns regarding the underlying Messaging Gateway operating system may be addressed by upgrading to version 10.9.1 or later. 

• The 10.9.1 release of the Messaging Gateway operating system will no longer be based on CentOS
• Support for CentOS 7 has been secured beyond the end of June '24 timeframe to ensure that we will be able to service customers who have to delay upgrading to 10.9.1 or later
