Issue/Introduction

Following a Cyberark implementation, the REST process won't start. This could have happened after the REST process was restarted but failed to come back up. There are no logs generated by starting the process via Service Manager.

As a result, users are unable to log into AWI.

Cause

Starting the REST process via command line shows the following message:

Failed to delete file C:\Automic\AutomationEngine\bin\plugins\fragment_<date>_JavaPasswordSDK.jar
Exception in threat  "main" org.osgi.framework.BundleException: A bundle is already installed with the name "fragment_javaPasswordSDK.jar" and version "x.x.x"

Resolution

The Cyberark implementation has only been partially completed. Complete the cyberark implmentation then,

  1. Restart AE (to finish cyberark implementation.
  2. Before starting AE manually, delete the file mentioned in the error.
  3. Start AE warmly, one process at a time.
  4. Wait for all process to come back, then log into AWI.
