How to create a new Organization or tenant in VMware Lab Platform

Issue/Introduction

A tenant or organization is an isolated group subscribes to and uses services provided by VMware Lab Platform. A tenancy offers organizations with individualized space for storing their labs, users, configurations and data.

An organization can be internal to your company providing the Vmware Lab Platform or to a customer organization that is using your VMware Lab Platform.

Resolution

Here are the steps to create a tenant in VMware Lab Platfiorm:

1. Login to the admin interface of VMware Lab Platform with Super User privileges.
2. On the left menu panel, expand the Super User section and click on Tenants.
3. On the Tenants page, click the "Create New" button to open the Tenant creation form.
4. On the Tenant Creation Form, enter a unique name for the Tenant in lowercase.
5. Fill in the customer's contact information, description, and status of Tenant.
6. Check the Local Authentication Provider box to enable the creation of local user accounts.
7. Once all of the details have been entered, click "+Create Tenant".
