Spectrum admin user unable to access Administration page

Issue/Introduction

A spectrum user account with admin privileges is unable to access the Administration page in the OneClick WEB GUI

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum all currently supported releases

Cause

A user group with the same name exists and doesn't have the same security string and no privileges set.

This causes it to clash with admin account of the same name when that account is used to access certain functions, such as the Administration page, which require admin privileges set.

Resolution

Delete the user group with the same name as the spectrum admin user account from all Landscapes.

 

It is not recommended to create user groups with the same names as user accounts.
