Why does File Master Plus display PIC X fields in character and HEX in single record view?

Issue/Introduction

When using a single record layout view to display data some PIC X fields are displayed as character and some as HEX.
How do we turn off HEX for those PIC X fields?

Z/OS
File Master Plus

Cause

Some of the PIC X fields in the record contain non printable characters.
For example x'52' and  x'59'. Fields that contain non printable characters are displayed in HEX.

Resolution

File Master Plus will display HEX value due to unprintable character filter through PIC clause as designed with layout.
File Master Plus will display actual value without layout.
