Issue/Introduction

This article assumes that the pre-requisites for installing the vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3b bundle have been met.

Please see this article for these pre-requisites -

"Procedure to remediate VMSA-2024-0019 (vCenter Server 8.0 U3b) for VCF 5.0.x, 5.1.x environments using Flexible BOM."

The vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3b bundle is not available for download in SDDC Manager UI as expected - on the page Lifecycle Management > Bundle Management.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2.0

Cause

This issue is caused by the /nfs/vmware/vcf/nfs-mount partition on SDDC Manager being 100% full.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to resolve this issue -

  1. Take a snapshot of the SDDC Manager (mandatory)
  2. SSH to the SDDC Manager as user vcf and su to user root
  3. Confirm that the /nfs/vmware/vcf/nfs-mount partition is full by issuing this command
    • df -h
  4. If the partition is full then the "Use%" column will show 100%
  5. Make sufficient space available on the partition by, for example, removing unnecessary bundles or backup files. The vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3b bundle is 12GB.
  6. Once sufficient space has been made available, refresh the SDDC Manager UI and confirm that the vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3b bundle now appears for download.
