Issue/Introduction

• vCPU resources are being exhaustively utilized and crossing 90% across Cloud Director appliances.
• Primary VCD Cell CPU is running high.
• top command will give you the CPU usage on the system.

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

The high CPU utilization is caused by excessive stats-activity-pool threads, stemming from an overload of activity-related records in the database tables.

Resolution

As the resolution requires database modifications, please raise a support ticket through the Broadcom Support Portal for further assistance.
