Error "Unable to establish a valid connection to the target system. undefined"

Issue/Introduction

After the vCenter applied a custom cert, the error "Unable to establish a valid connection to the target system. undefined" shows up when trying to validate the connection for the vCenter Adapter in Aria Operations.

Environment

vCenter 7.x 

vCenter 8.x

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

The certificate listed in Aria Operations for the vCenter Adapter is the wrong one, even though it has not expired.

Resolution

1. Delete the existing certificate from the list in Aria Operations.

2. Import the correct certificate of vCenter.

3. Test the connection again in the vCenter Adapter integration to accept the certificate.
