Issue/Introduction

The scenario under consideration:

• Setup
  • There are multiple application servers
  • Each of them deploy at least one App service, and one BG service
  • To store files that are uploaded in various parts of the application, a filestore is created in a NAS (Network Attached Storage)
  • A user is created in NAS who has access to the location that is being treated as the filestore
  • The user has access to read and write
  • Windows servers are being used
• Issue:
  • When a file is uploaded from the application the following error is received:
    The system is unable to create the directory in the DMS. Contact your system administrator

Resolution

• The user who is created in the NAS should also be created in the Windows Servers that are being used
• The App and BG services must be configured to 'Logon As' this user.
