Resolution

ESS allows you to redirect emails to a single recipient. In this example, we'll demonstrate how to create a data protection policy that redirects inbound emails from specific external senders to one designated recipient


 


Step 1: Create a Custom User Group



  1. Navigate to Users and Groups > User Groups.

  2. Create a custom user group for the senders you want to include.

  3. Add all the relevant senders to this group. This group will be used in the policy in the next step.

Step 2: Create a Data Protection Policy



  1. Go to the Data Protection section and create a new policy with the following settings:


    • Apply to: Inbound email only

    • Execute if: All rules are met

    • Action: Redirect to Administrator

    • Administrator email: Select "Custom" and enter the email address to which you want to redirect the emails.


  2. Add Rule:


    • Select the "Sender Group" condition.

    • Browse for and select the group created in Step 1.

    • Choose the condition “is in any of the selected groups”.


  3. Save the policy and activate it.


 


Note: The policy may take 20-30 minutes to fully propagate across our systems. Please test after this time to ensure it works as expected.
