Issue/Introduction

When looking at the Table Details in the PII Scan, there are two values shown that we don't understand. What is meant by "0 columns-matched" and "0 user-defined"?

Environment

All Supported releases of TDM Portal

Resolution

The Column-matched and User-defined values are automatically detected by matching column names & types, or user defined, when the data model is created.

If we assume relationships based on foreign keys as "physical", then these are "logical" (they don't exist on the database level, only on the TDM model level).

There's no setup or configuration for the match criteria, as this is all automatic. Same column name and data type means a column-matched relationship.

  • "0 Column-matched" means that there were no columns with a matched relationship.
  • "0 User-defined" means there were no user defined relationships.

NOTE: you must run an Advanced Data Model Scan on the data model first. Once an Advanced Data Model scan has been performed, and the PII scan completes, any Column-matched or User-defined relationship matches will be found.
