CA Virtual Appliance Permissions issue while modifying api-docs

Issue/Introduction

As a part of Vapp and NIM SM integration, we need to modify the file api-docs in the path below but getting an Access denied error

/<iam_im.ear>/user_console.war/app/page/nimsmintegration/api-docs/api-docs.

 

 

 

Environment

 VAPP 14.5

NIM SM: 3.2

Cause

This is due to the Vapp Appliance file access limitations to the non-root user.

 

Resolution

There is a difference between 14.4.2 and 14.5, with owner and permissions.

On 14.4.2 the api-doc.txt - has config as owner and can modify and save the file.

On 14.5 the api-doc.txt - has wildfly as the owner and it throws permission issues and cannot be modified.

 

To change the permissions of the file, we raised a request with the Engineering Team for a patch.
