Symantec VIP Enterprise Gateway Services will not start

Issue/Introduction

VIP Enterprise Gateway Services will not start, including Validation Servers, LDAP service, IdP services, etc. The VIP Enterprise Gateway service starts without any issue.

Cause

• Missing Microsoft Visual C++ components.

Resolution

VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.10.2 or earlier: download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x86) Redistributable. 

VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.10.3 or later: download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 (x64) Redistributable.
