Issue/Introduction

When creating multiple instances of Management Center with the Symantec Enterprise license, each instance has the same serial number. 

Cause

The Symantec Enterprise license for Management Center creates multiple instances with the same serial number.

Resolution

When using the Symantec Enterprise license creating Management Center instances results with the same serial number. This is expected behavior.

To verify that you have an Enterprise license check your SKU information from the entitlement portal when searching for the serial number.

The SKU for Management Center Enterprise license which allows for multiple virtual machine instances is ISG-MC-SUB.

The SKU for the Standard dedicated Management Center license that does NOT allow running multiple instances with a single serial number is with the format MC-V10-<number of managed devices>-<number of year> e.g MC-V10-250-1Y. The serial number can only be deployed on a single virtual machine.
