Cb-Enterprise Services are Failing with Cb-Datagrid Waiting to Initialize

Issue/Introduction

When starting EDR services, the services stall at cb-datagrid waiting to initialize. 

• /var/log/cb/pgsql/startup.log shows the following error

  postmaster: could not access directory "/var/cb/data/pgsql": Permission denied

Environment

• Carbon Black EDR Server: All Versions

Cause

Permissions on the postgres directory or files are incorrect.

Resolution

1. Update the permissions for the postgres directories.

   chmod 750 /var/cb/data/pgsql && chmod 750 /var/cb/data && chmod 755 /var/cb 
   chown -R cb:cb /var/cb/

2. Attempt to start the services

   Standalone:
   /usr/share/cb/cbservice cb-enterprise start
   
   Cluster:
   /usr/share/cb/cbcluster start
