Applying VMware Aria Operations for Logs 8.18 HF1 request fails in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting to apply the VMware Aria Operations for Logs 8.18 HF1 patch through VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, the request may fail.
• If you try to apply the patch again, the system will recognize that it's already installed and return the following exception message.

VMware Aria Operations for Logs 8.18 HF1

Cause

During patch execution, the API status is not properly communicated from VMware Aria Operations for logs to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, causing the request to fail. However, the patching process that had already started on Operations for Logs continues and completes successfully.

Resolution

• Please do not reapply the patch to Aria Operations for Logs, as it has already been successfully applied. You can verify this by logging into the Aria Operations for Logs UI.
• This is a known issue, and there is currently no resolution.
