Issue/Introduction

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Define a Timesheet rule to have at least 8 hours of time reported each day
  2. Add a few tasks to a timesheet
  3. Do not enter any value
  4. Click on Submit
    Expected Result: Timesheet rule throws an error
    Actual Result: Timesheet gets submitted. Null values in the Timesheet Grid is not being considered as 0 hours.
  5. Enter 1 hour against any cell in the Grid
  6. Click on Submit
    Expected Result: Timesheet rule throws an error
    Actual Result: Timesheet rule throws an error.

  • Tested on 16.2.3 as of this writing.

Cause

DE154059

Resolution

DE154059 is fixed in 16.3.0.

Workaround:

  • Create Time Entry Error Condition rule using the 'Sum of Entries'  - Daily Sum < 8.
