NSX-T version mismatch after out of band Upgrade

Issue/Introduction

• Out of band NSX-T upgrades carried out on the environment may lead to the version in SDDC manager not being updated with the correct NSXT upgraded version. 
• You can validate the version of NSXT stored by the SDDC Manager by running one of the following command options: 

  API:  https://{api_host}/v1/nsxt-clusters

  SDDC Command line:

  psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "select id,cluster_fqdn, version from nsxt;"

Environment

VMware Cloud foundation 9.x
VMware Cloud foundation 5.x
VMware Cloud foundation 4.x

Cause

When an upgrade of a VCF component is completed outside of the SDDC Manager UI, the upgrade status for that component might not update in the SDDC Manager UI as SDDC Manager is not aware of the upgrade task.

Resolution

Manual cleanup of entries from SDDC database is required to fix the issue. As editing the database is destructive in nature, open a case with broadcom to resolve the issue.

Additional Information

• We have seen scenarios in which the NSX is successfully upgraded and the upgraded NSX version is being updated on the NSX Manager however on SDDC UI we still see the NSX version is not updated
• Under Updates we still see that NSX is required to be updated. In these scenarios we need to update the upgraded version of the NSX in the SDDC database
