CA Harvest Software Change Manager - OpenMake Meister

Issue/Introduction

Problem: 

All users are receiving an error message when trying to login to CA Software change manager 12.5.

Error message: Your account is locked, you have exceeded the maximum number of logon attempts.


Cause:

The admin user had attempted to change the Harvest Administrator account password.
The password contained special characters at the end of the password string.   An account lockout resulted.

 

Resolution:

The DBA must reset the password to the default password with an SQL statement that is supplied by support at http://support.ca.com. Then unlock the Account.

The SCM administrator can then login and change the password. Do not use special characters at the beginning or the end of the password phrase.

We also recommended the DBA set the Admin account password to not expire and unlimited attempts before lockout.
