Issue/Introduction

For one of our client have requirement to check the feasibility in SNMP v3 configuration of protocol as SHA-128 can be monitored or not.

 

Environment

UIM: All versions

snmcpcollector: 4.05 and above

Resolution

There does not seem to be anything called SHA128:

 

However, from snmpcollector 4.05 onwards, you can use SHA-256. These are the options available:

 

 

• MD5 - MD5 Message-Digest Algorithm (HMAC-MD5-96).
• SHA - Secure Hash Algorithm (HMAC-SHA-96).
• SHA256
