Issue/Introduction

Symptoms: 

ERROR: Insufficient space in file MCOLIB.USERFMT2.CATALOG. 

ERROR: File MCOLIB.USERFMT2.CATALOG is damaged. I/O processing did not complete.

 

Environment: 

CA MICS 12.9 ; z/OS 

 

Cause:

NOTE: EOV system service was not able to obtain an additional extent for library data set SYS16019.T123118.RA000.$RMF7008.R0261275, 

volume number 1. System rc = 00000B37; Reason code = 00000004. 

 

Resolution:

To circumvent the problem can you override the MCOLIB allocation on the job by specifying on the EXEC statement COLIB='pppp,ssss', where pppp is the primary allocation and ssss is the secondary.
