Issue/Introduction

Systemd is logging an info level message in /var/log/messages

/etc/systemd/system/cbdaemon.service file with systemd non-standard permissions (600)

Environment

  • Carbon Black EDR Sensor: All Versions
  • Linux: All Supported Versions

Cause

systemd is reporting not normal service permissions

Resolution

This is an info level message from systemd and does not affect the sensor functioning.

Additional Information

  • 644 is the permissions expected by systemd for service files. 600 is expected for the cbdaemon service as it should only be accessible by the root user.
