How to add Active Directory authentication/integration in Aria Operations for Logs

Environment

VMware Aria Operations for Logs 8.x

Resolution

This article represents how to add Active Directory authentication in Aria Operations for Logs.

1. Login to Aria Operations for Logs and go to Configuration > Authentication > Active Directory
2. Click on Edit and enter Active directory domain name and user details.
3. After adding Active Directory account, you need to provide permissions.
4. For that, go to Management > Access Control and click on New Group under Directory Groups.
5. Once you click on New Group, the added domain from Active Directory Authentication section will get automatically discovered here.
6. In this New Group section, you can provide permissions as per requirement.
7. Click on Save.
8. You would now get Active Directory option at login page and would be able to login with domain account.
