BIRT Reporting Plugin for 14.5

Issue/Introduction

The documentation states that the BIRT Reporting plugin feature has been removed from Harvest v14.5, but recently this feature has become available again.

Environment

Harvest Software Change Manager 14.5

Cause

The difficulty was that the BIRT software had not kept pace with newer versions of Eclipse so there was an incompatibility. 

Resolution

This can now be used with Eclipse and the Harvest Eclipse plugin even though it's still not compatible with Workbench.

 

Supported Eclipse IDE versions: 4.31 , 4.32

Java Support Details:
For Eclipse version 4.31, use AdoptOpenJDK 17.x
For Eclipse version 4.32, use AdoptOpenJDK 21.x
