Issue/Introduction

DCS 6.10.x comes pre-configured with self-signed certificates for its listeners and User Interface. Use this utility to upgrade to a trusted signed certificate or to regenerate self-signed certificates.

Environment

Supported Product: Symantec Data Center Security (DCS) 6.10.x

Resolution

The DCS 6.10 Certificate Utility is used for:

1. Creation of the Certificate Signing Requests needed for the server-cert.ssl and agent-cert.ssl keystores needed to issue Trusted Signed Certificates
2. Importing of the Trusted Signed Certificates to the DCS Keystores
3. Generating the SQL update string to import the new certificate into the DCS Database
4. Recreation of the self-signed certificates

Note: This version is only for DCS 6.10.x

How to use the utility:

1. Download the utility that is attached to this KB
2. On your DCS Management server, run the .exe file
3. Follow the utility welcome page steps
