Where do I find the procedure to upgrade Datacom Server from 15.0 to 15.1?

Resolution

There are no specific upgrade steps required to upgrade to Datacom Server 15.1.

On the mainframe install the 15.1 server software from the pax file and apply PTF LU16180 CONTINUOUS DELIVERY LEVEL SET 15.1.02. Also apply any PTFs published after this.

Then switch to use the new software by modifying the Server startup JCL.
Use your existing Mainframe Server startup options with 15.1

On the client platforms install the new 15.1 client software. The previous release client software is not compatible with the 15.1 mainframe code.

To download the latest 15.1 client software, download the latest 15.1 Server PTF for Windows/Linux/USS from the Broadcom Support portal. See the instructions in article Datacom Server Windows and LINUX solutions download

Note that the Server 15.1 JDBC driver requires a Java 11 or higher JRE. It does not run with a Java 8 JRE. 

This applies to all client platforms: Windows, Linux and z/OS USS.
