Creation of CDB Failed during SDM installation

Issue/Introduction

Upgrade from SDM version 17.3RU22 to 17.4 GA  failed. Communication between SDM  server and the MDB server checked using Network Protocols such as Telnet and Ping commands.

mdb-install log shows the following error message:

sqlcmd: Error Microsoft ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server: Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Environment

Release: 17.3+

Cause

ODBC Driver version mismatch between the MDB server and the client machine (SDM). 

Resolution

Microsoft ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server installed on the SDM machine to resolve the issue
