Issue/Introduction

WF Collector shows archived, can I still use this to deploy a proxy? What is the future support for Wavefront Collector or Collector based metrics now that both show archived? 

Cause

Broadcom is no longer developing the wavefront-collector-for-kubernetes.

Resolution

What does that mean for you, our customers?

• No further changes will be committed to the GitHub repository " wavefrontHQ/wavefront-collector-for-kubernetes"
• Current GitHub repository: wavefrontHQ/observability-for-kubernetes  should be used to deploy a Kubernetes operator and latest Proxy versions.
  
  
• Customers can also deploy a docker image in their Kubernetes environments via dockerHub.
  
  
• The latest version of the Wavefront Proxy (v13.7) has been uploaded to both GitHub and docker Hub
  • Releases · wavefrontHQ/wavefront-proxy (github.com)
  • wavefronthq/proxy Tags | Docker Hub
