Issue/Introduction

This article provides a step-by-step solution for resolving issues where tasks remain in the "In Progress" status within the Identity Suite, specifically when using WorkPoint Workflow and Identity Manager. The Workflow Approver already approver but the Task does not finish

Environment

Vapp 14.4.2

Cause

This issue may occur due to a job being stopped at a particular node in the workflow, often caused by a large WorkPoint database or misconfiguration in the workflow.

Resolution

  • Access WorkPoint Designer:

    • Open WorkPoint Designer to view the active workflow jobs.
  • Identify the Stopped Node:

    • Locate the active job that is having issues.
    • Check if the job is stopped at the "IM Approve" node.
  • Reset the Node:

    • Right-click on the "IM Approve" node.
    • Select the option to reset the node right clicking over the "IM Approve" node. This action should allow the task to complete in both WorkPoint and Identity Manager.
  • Database Cleanup:
