Issue/Introduction

Does Broadcom provide technical support for Wildfly Application Server?

We recently moved from vAPP (Virtual Appliance) to standalone Identity Suite 14.5.x. Is Wildfly supported by Broadcom, or do we need to buy JBoss application server from RedHat? 

Resolution

Broadcom does not provide application server technical support. Broadcom provides the Wildfly/JBoss compatible Identity Suite deployable files, configurations, and recommended tunings. If you choose to use Wildfly, you are responsible for its installation, administration, and support. If you do not have your own application server or Wildfly support resources we recommend that you purchase JBoss EAP to get support from RedHat.

The exception is for Identity Governance and Administration vAPP (Virtual Appliance) in which we do ship with Wildlfy. In the case of vAPP, we also provide as-needed technical support for Wildfly application server because there is limited permission for the customer to access Wildfly's administrative files. IGA on vAPP is the only case in which we provide "Wildfly support." For standalone Identity Suite products, we do not distribute Wildfly or provide its technical support.
