CA Network Flow Analysis (NetQos / NFA)

Issue/Introduction

Issue:

In NFA, Time Filters are applied differently depending upon where they are used.  When looking in the Interfaces page, the Time Filters are applied using the time zone of the user.  When using Custom Reports, the Time Filters are applied using GMT time zone.

Environment:

This issue exists in versions of Network Flow Analysis 9.3.x

Cause:

Custom reports are run in the GMT time zone.  So when a time filter is applied, it uses the GMT time zone instead of the time zone displayed on the report.  A time filter of 8am - 5pm, when run on a custom report with a time frame in EST, will display data for 3am - 12pm on the report.

When using the same time filter on a Interface view, it will display data in the expect time.

Workaround:

1. Create a second time filter for use in Custom Reports.

2. Give your Custom Reports a name and description that communicates the time periods involved.

Additional Information:

Rally defect DE50627 has been filed.
