Issue/Introduction

When promote models using Implementer that involves Y2VLLSP, if it fails with this message in the joblog

Not able to derive object code for a CA 2E run-time object Y2VLLSP

CA 2E would need to perform steps documented in this article to add PFOBJ to the Implementer and make it available to all environments.

Environment

CA 2E 8.7 and higher

PTC Implementer 12.4 and higher

Resolution

  1. Steps to create the PFOBJ object code:

Take option F6 to create a new object code. Enter the text as follows

Press Enter. A pop up window opens up

Enter A, to activate the object code for all the environments, and press ENTER. The object code should be added to the implementer and made available for all environments.

    2. After this, follow the steps as follows:

    1. Verify where conditions file Y2VLLSP resides
Take option 42 to work with the environments
Take option 10 (CA 2E) against the environments, take a Page Down. There we can see the field "Dup application objects". Set the LIbrary field to *PGMLIB.
For the environments being worked with, we need to change PFOBJ object code creation command TOLIB parameter to *PGMLIB. To do this, do the following:
1.1 Go to Work with Environments (option 42)
1.2 Take Option 2 to Change
1.3 Take Option F8 for Object Codes
       1.4 Find PFOBJ object code
1.5 Change Object library to *PGMLIB
The object code entry should look as below
