Topology users hang on logon and requires task restart of started task

Issue/Introduction

We IPL the system that the Topology task runs on daily, but users will hang after sign on.   A recycle of the Topology task is required.   This just started to occur a few days ago and the Topology sign on was reworking last week and no changes have been made to the environment.

Resolution

There is a tmp directory in the deployment USS path ( that is the value for the variable DEPLOY_PATH in TPLSCONF member). This directory contains a file to store invalidated authentication tokens. If the logs indicate that this file is inaccessible to the user that is running the topology API STC, then one way to fix this is to stop the Topology API STC, delete the tmp directory and restart the API STC so it will be recreated with the correct access privileges for the user.

Also, verify that the USERID running the STC has access permissions to this directory and its contents.
