Error: "Organization <organization name> cannot be deleted, because it contains VDC Groups..." when removing Organization from Cloud Director UI.

Issue/Introduction

• When removing an Organization from the Cloud Director UI, the following message is displayed:

[xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx] Organization <organization name> cannot be deleted, because it contains VDC Groups [<organization name> vDC Pay-As-You-Go-Group-<organization name><network name>].

• The Organization to be deleted has no Organization VDC as seen from the UI.

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.1

Cause

This issue occurs due to stale workload references to the Organization in the Cloud director database.

Resolution

The workaround for this issue requires modification of the Cloud Director database.
