Error while installing latest monthly platform patch on gatewat 11.1

Issue/Introduction

We are trying to install the latest monthly platform patch. But getting a error and the install fails :

Resolution

The patch install fails because the sudo command is failing due to a incorrect name resolution configuration.

INFO: Output from patch install: sudo: unable to resolve host <Gatewayhostname>: Name or service not known

Make sure the hostname on the appliance is set correctly and make sure it can be resolved, Check your DNS config or add the hostname to the local hosts file .
