UIM Connector Maintenance Mode is not working with SOI (Service Operation Insight)

Issue/Introduction

After setting a CI to maintenance mode manually in SOI, it switches to maintenance mode in UIM as expected. But after 2 minutes it changes back into production mode in UIM.

Environment

SOI 3.3 and SOI 4.0

UIM connector 3.0.71

UIM : 20.4 

Cause

The problem is seen because the default maintenanceModeScheduleDuration in the \CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\registry\topology\physical\<hostname>_CatalystConnector\modules\configuration\NimsoftConnector.xml

File is 120000 which are 2 minutes.

 

Resolution

You can modify the value for maintenanceModeScheduleDuration to your prefered time. If you leave the value empty

The duration will be 2 months.

• stop the Catalyst Container Service on the connector machine after the modification
• remove the file <schedule>.ub in the container\data\core folder
• start the Catalyst Container Service
