Issue/Introduction

Enabling PAM Gateway for RDP and accessing an RDP system from the access page, there is no difference in behaviour: the RDP applet is started

The question arises whether PAM Gateway for RDP can be used together with the CA PAM Client

Environment

CA PAM versions 4.2.X

Resolution

PAM Gateway for RDP has been designed as a means to allow users to connect to a target device using their local Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection application from a web browser.

As of the writing of this note it is not designed for the CA PAM Client access scenario, where the Applet is used to access the remote target windows machine
