MSP error macros are disabled

Issue/Introduction

You are trying to open a project in Microsoft Project from Clarity and receive an error stating - 

'The macros in this project are disabled.  Please refer to the online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros.'

The macro settings in your project options (File>Options>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings) are configured to enable all macros but the error persists.

 

Environment

All supported Clarity releases

Microsoft Project Version 2408 Build

Cause

This is caused by the Microsoft update to version 2408

Resolution

Roll back to version 2407

Macros that we wrote in Project Online in the Enterprise Global template are now disabled with the latest office upgrade.

Update 9/18/24- Microsoft has released a quick fix that should fix the issue shown

Additional Information

If you have not upgraded to version 2408 yet, turn off automatic updates until Microsoft releases a fix
